About Us

We call it the " Frontier Free For All". it's what we've called our show for years and pretty much describes our philosophy of music and life. A Wild Horses show will always be a no holds barred, anything goes, party where the fan becomes just as much a part of the show as the band. Ya see we've been around 15 years and have played thousands of shows all over this great country. We understand what folks want for their hard earned dollar---that's a good time. A Wild Horses show is the definition of a good time.

It's been a long crazy road for us. We've drifted through a couple of major label deals, had a top 40 song "I Will Survive", and a video on CMT and GAC. That was great but Wild Horses and major labels didn't really work. We refused to be turned into Mild Horses. We are the band Nashville couldn't tame and we're proud off that. We write most of our songs we do in our shows and have had the honor of our songs being recorded by other artists like George Jones and used as theme's for great events like the Houston Rodeo. We've played everywhere we think; Caesar's Palace, the Ryman Auditorium, PBR and PRCA finals in Las Vegas, Billy Bob's, Rodeo Houston Hideout, and the Wildhorse Saloon just to name a few along with about every major country music festival and fair on the mainland. It's like a party that never ends.

Wild Horses is Angela Rae, Michael Blake Mahler, Ralph "Thundersticks" McCauley, Steve "The Head" Kellough, Lon "Fat Boy" Holland, and Chris " The Mule" Sigmon. Basically that boils down to a beautiful free spirited chick singer surrounded by a group of hard livin good ole boys. We're family in the spiritual sense and put here to one thing. In our lives and in our music, Wild Horses were made to be free.

Everybody's Talking

Wild Horses Kicks A**- Nuff Said!

-Pete Garcia, Kicker 107 FM / Abilene ,Tx

The best sound to come out the gate in a long while, Upbeat, catchy and it's COUNTRY! If this tune doesn't pump up you and your listeners, well then you're broadcasting from the morgue! You Gotta Spin You Gotta Ride!!!

-Jim Gore PD/MD KVVP Country 105 "The Big Dog" Leesville, La

"Wild Horses grabbed the audience with kinetic energy and a full-tilt eagerness to entertain. Vocalist Angela Rae was often a blur of motion on stage, and an appealing figure with a solid, blues-tinged voice. The best Wild Horses tunes of the night were the ones they'd written themselves, all with enthusiastic performances and first-rate singing and playing."

John Wooley, music journalist, Tulsa World

"This band is smokin'! The sexy lead singer sets the other Wild Horses on fire. Put them in front of a crowd and you have a turbo-charged party.''

Brad Schmitt, columnist, The Tennessean

"I heard one new artist last year that impressed me. One. It was Wild Horses.''

J.D. Haas, J.D. Haas Enterprises and Radio Trip Promotions

"If you have a chance to be a part of the frontier I strongly suggest that you accept the challenge. If you find at the end of the show you are on your feet screaming . . . at least you won't be alone."

Christy Cowan, reporter, internet magazine 2steppin.com

"This is about the greatest band to hit country music to date, Wild Horses! When I heard them, I was blown away, the harmonies, the tightness of the band, the overall feel when you listen is awesome! Every time I play their music my phone lines go nuts! Our three radio stations cover from San Bernardino County to Stateline, Nevada, and with our toll-free listener line, I hear from all up and down I-15. The listeners love them!"

Kari Lynn, PD, Highway Country, Las Vegas, NV, Victorville, CA and Barstow, CA

"What an exciting group! The talent here is endless. Great people, great harmony and great musicians! The whole package is complete. The phones light up when their music hits the airways! Being a reporting station, I receive lots and lots of music. Wild Horses has definitely lit up my ears. I feel this group has a long career ahead of them!"

Juli Ingram, Music Director, WOOZ-FM, Carbondale, IL

"Last Wednesday I had my ears blown off when I heard Wild Horses, and I haven't been the same since! By 4:20, they were on the air and in Hot Add rotation. They are getting phone action, the jocks love it, and all I can say is WOW! This band fits our hot country format perfectly and is a true breath of fresh air. Let¹s have more SOON!"

Ray Fisher, Program Director, WMTM-FM, Moultrie, GA

"Wild Horses have done extremely well for WKYQ. We've received requests over the last couple of weeks, and we have had nothing but positive calls about their music. We here at WKYQ eagerly anticipate their next single!"

Jeff Lawrence, Music Director, WKYQ, Paducah, KY

It would be great to see this band at festivals and outdoor events. The energy was worth even an
hour drive to see them. Overall, I recommend this entertainment to any club or establishment. If
you have a variety crowd, they can handle the mix for sure. The value of their show is high-energy
country music that brings you into doing whatever crazy release you can handle. Wild Horses reads
your crowd and plays what they love to hear — just some wild, goodtime party music.
A Wild Horse performance makes you just get up off your butt and dance, or at least move in your
seat. They even got people who couldn’t put one foot in front of the other up and out on the floor
bouncing and singing along like it was Mardis Gras. This is the level of talent you would usually see in
the casinos, festivals, and major concert line-ups. xcentrix magazine • volume 1 • issue 2 2007
